Jen Ross, MSH, RD, LD/N, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor
I’m a native New Yorker who truly enjoys good food and cooking! As a Registered Dietitian and Intuitive Eating Counselor, I believe there’s more to life than a number on a scale and eating should be stress free. My areas of focus include counseling, intuitive and mindful eating, binge eating, impulsive & compulsive eating, eating disorders, weight concerns, recipe modification, insulin resistance, and maternal/infant nutrition. I received my BA in Human Services from Elon College, and BSH and MSH in Health Science/Nutrition from the University of North Florida. I’m currently an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Florida where I teach a variety of nutrition courses. I am also currently pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition from the University of North Florida. I am a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), and the Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (FAND) where I serve as the reimbursement representative.
I began my interest in nutrition while working as a personal trainer. My interest turned into my passion when I realized that I could combine my background in social work & personal training to help others meet their health and wellness goals. I believe in helping people discover that it’s not just “what” we eat, but also “how” and “why”we eat that impact our health. Most importantly, I believe in treating everyone as an individual and believe that all of us can achieve our goals when given the right tools and support.
